Dear CM folks,

CM is a fabulous place except for the smog which currently stands at 179.

Anyway, i believe the smog will eventually be blown away, maybe in a couple of weeks time when there is regular rainfall.

In the meantime, i need sone fresh sea breeze. Anyone second this opinion?

Songkran is coming, and airfares are rather expensive. So CM-Phuket by AirAsia is out.

I heard that there is a direct night coach to Hua Hin or Rayong and it cost about 800 baht?

Any other alternatives?

Fresh air, please. :)

Cheers!

nakhonchai air, 785 baht to rayong. 8 buses daily.

if you're connecting with other buses, the nakhonchai terminal is several km from

the main bus terminal in rayong.

nakhonchai terminal is on sukhumvit road at nakhornrayong 10, the main station

is just north of sukhumvit road at nakhornrayong 39.

If you're looking to keep your costs down, get off in Cha-Am, rather than more-farang-touristy Hua-Hin, it's a popular week-end beach-resort for escaping Bangkok-residents, guest-houses are cheaper (also get week-rates, not nightly-price !) and everything's priced more for the locals.

Overnight-buses cost 785B each-way (last November) from CM, drop you on the main-road (1 mile from the beach) in Cha-Am, and go to the new long-distance bus-station in Hua-Hin ( a few km beyond the old town-centre), from where you catch the return-service. :)

Cool, is there any beach in Rayong?

or do i have to take a 30 min boat trip to Ko Samet and how much is the boat trip?

Thanks...

Hi if u want to come into rayong u could stay at our guesthouse in Ban Phe which is directly opposite koh samet island. if u have time check out our website www bedrockguesthousebargrill com.

Aircon room rates we would do at 600 baht per nite. u get free wifi, we have a thai kitchen and seperate western grill in the bar.

Just a suggestion. Anyway i'm mark (aussie) and run the place with my wife Aom.

cheers
