Does anyone else have problems with these devices when in the car with tinted windows, it seems about a 50% or more signal loss with the Lumina mirror film. Any ways around it if the film is the problem?

I've noticed it's more of a problem with mirror tints than dark tints and it also affects GPS signals. Apparently, some older film is especially interruptive, and when I had the windshield of my old car redone (very very light tint both before and after) it made a noticeable difference.
