I used to suffer terribly from GERD... and yes, it is easily controlled.

Normal treatment for it is an initial daily dose before breakfast of a 20mg tablet of Pariet for 2-4 weeks, followed by on-demand dosage should symptoms reappear.

Ask your local pharmacist about it.

A 14 tab box of 20 mg Pariet will cost around 900 baht (less if you have a pharmacy membership or discount card).

I dont know anything about the condition...but once you hvae established what medication you need, there is a pharmacy in old part of Bangkok that is known for its low prices (kinda do wholesale type price). and they seem to have all sorts of fancy medicine.

the pharmacy is on Chakraphet road...cant remember the name, but once you get to that road, you can ask around. its on the main street...and is always packed so easy to distinguish from other chemists on the street
