I saw some nice ones for 4,000-5000 baht in the Home Mall on Hwy 121 about 1 km west of the Chiangmai-Mae Jo road 1001.

For 'high quality', Index probably has the best in town, at the office section upstairs at the back. Perhaps a tad pricey as they go up to around 50k but they're super strong and the dogs doodas. Was looking at the one which has a high back and proper working and recline settings, 18k. Sounds a lot but so comfortable, which is important if you're in the chair 12 hours a day. I guess you get what you pay for and anything less than 2 or 3k and you'll be replacing them constantly.

Btw, I have the latter as I'm a tight ass. :)

I used to own an Aeron when I lived in Los Angeles. You will never find one like it here!

I bought a decent quality chair from the first furniture shop on the left on Thannon Chiang Moi as you are coming from the moat. The guy's name is Rachen I believe. It may also be the name of his shop. He wears a turban and has a gray beard. I paid about 10,000 Baht for it and it was guaranteed for 1 year. It is still in great condition 2 years later.
