Looking to buy one rai of farm land to build house,

need to provide elcetric supply, is about one kilo

from highway. Nearby farm house has an electric

supply strung along a picket fence, which farmer

says I can connect to, but my builder says this is a

dodgy option.

Anyone gone thru this experience, looking for the

cheapest option

Task A is to locate the farmers electricity meter, as this is where the PEA will supply to, anything between the meter and your house is your problem.

Then work out what supply size you'll need, a 15/45 is probably your best bet (a 5/15 won't power a light bulb).

Then you'll need to measure how far you need to run your cable (meter to house) and tell us here so we can calculate the cable size you need.
