Where Can I Take My Big Family?

I'm taking my missus and our five kids on our first holiday to Chiang Mai and would really appreciate some tips re accommodation. We've looked at guest houses and hotels on the Internet, but would really prefer a bungalow, villa or something more like a home from home. All the resorts we have seen with bungalows tend to be ratherpricey and outside of the city. We'd rather be close to all facilities to keep transport costs down. Thanks.

Have the contract checked out for a place to stay? Come on...when do they give you contracts at hotels in Thailand?
