Once again the car, motorcycle, helmet, and glasses are covered with impossible Songkran water spots. A bit of vinegar and water mixture removes them effortlessly. Thought you'd like to know.

Put a bit of vinegar in the bottom of your kettle and bring it to the boil once a month and it will boil quietly every time after that if you have got all the scale out.

It's the acid in vinegar and lemon that neutralizes the alkaline [calcium] in the water. I use a dilute - 1 part vinegar to 5 parts water in my windshield washer tank in truck and my windows are always spotless....but when I wash my windshield, it smells like salad dressing.

nice one Dave

so why do they leave the wax on? extra protection?

i thought it was better to buff off, so when you rewash its easier than washing wax off

It's probably not wax, but talcum powder that comes in tablet form and is water soluble and can be splattered or whiped on the car finish and removes easily. Maybe offers a little protection from the dirty water thrown by the idiots.....but is mostly for show as you can get creative with the application.
