oh well, lets wait and see again, but honestly, Aussies are by far the best cricketing nation in the world. I only remember the West Indies having the respect that we have.....

That's a pretty lame analogy to be honest , a bit like looking at lower division football scores and describing the players as prolific.

From all the posts I've seen, only Fartypants is talking any sense. It's not a foregone conclusion. O.K. agreed; we've taught the Aussies something that they're pretty good at, a bit like whinging and bad soaps. All you antipodeans are all saying we'll win,we'll win,we'll win. No-one has said yet 'I hope it's a good series' That's because you lot don't care if it's a good series or not. It's not sport with you lot: it's all about winning. So different all those years ago when we sent Jardine over to knock seven shades of <deleted> out of you. Jeez hark at the shouting then. Well, I'm with the Prof on this one. It's going to be close. Very close. Best of luck to both teams.

High scores in a cricket game, in my opinion , can mean several things.

a) one side is much better than the other

one side is terrible

c) an average side can score heavily against a terrible side.

d) if both side score high , there is a problem with the fielding

e) I know little about cricket but enjoy a good sledging......

negatory lampy you soapies are crowing pre-dawn, if we get beat then so be it, it would be good for cricket.

the point is it has been dominated for quite some time by us and thats not a good thing really in the interests of the game, so if the soapies can do something positive and win a series then all well and good, but I dont think so IMHO they don't have the goods.

maybe a run for your money, but we are not good enough.Steve Rickson had us on the way, but the w*nkers at home gave him the arse. Rickson has a great rep in Kiwi, because he taught us to play cricket like we play rugby...no quarter given or taken.

Not true lampshade...we have a bit of the tar brush in most of us...that means we play dirty. The Lions play the NZ Maori next week.If the Lions try and play dirty, they will loose the fight.If they play the game, they will win by a country mile.

The Poms beat Bangladesh and become the cricketing greats of the world......

The county cricket is where the best players in England are.....unfortunately if they arent born on the right side of the river...thay dont get a run in the squad...it is interesting to note that Jardine actually emigrated to Oz to live out his life....

I'm sorry Supermouth I'm not getting drawn into an argument that I can't win. I am not a good enough prophet to know exactly what is going to happen. I admit we are the underdogs facing the best cricket team in the world. In the unlikely event that we do beat you,your not going to take it lying down anyway. You'll still claim to be the best team whatever the score. To the world we wopped you fair and square in the rugby world cup, but listen to the excuses that poured out.'You only won because of Johnny Wilkinson' Just remember you are only good at sport cause one of your forefathers knicked a loaf of bread. No, until you lot are like the country that mothered you and take defeat with the same graciousness as victory you will always be the underdogs of sportsmanship. My money is on 3/1 or 3/0 win to the Aussies . The main reason ....PRESSURE When the chips are down the likes of Ponting, Langer, Martyn, Warne, Mcgrath , gilchrist...,could nearly name the whole team, have turned in match winning performances. Not to mention half the team playing test cricket for ten years... or longer

Compare this to England , a few series against suspect sides . When the Aussies really turn on the pressure the poms will choke
