Hi-Low Gamblers caught in-front of apartments in South Pattaya

PATTAYA:-- At around 5am on Tuesday, Police Captain Jamrat from Pattaya Police Station received a complaint from residents that a game of Hi-Low for money was taking place in a parking-lot directly in front of an apartment block close to Big C in South Pattaya. A team of officers and volunteers converged on the location and 3 of 4 gamblers were arrested.

Gambling is illegal, what about the black market lotto? :)

I like the what the royal thai said he could do, which was met with laughter

In Sukhumvit Soi 3 dozens of redshirts have been openly gambling for some weeks not far from the Grace Hotel. No police presence. The minimum stake seems to be 100 baht. Everyone seems to have fistfuls of cash.

One of the suspected gamblers, Khun Sirichai aged 38 claimed he was a Major in the Royal Thai Army and unless the Police and Volunteers left them alone, the officers would be transferred to another station and the volunteers would no longer be allowed to work. The statement was greeted with laughter

Nice try Sirichai. :) Next time have your uniform on.
