Can I Set Option To Switch Bewteen English And Thai Type Text.

Featured Replies

My wife has been using Mint on my dual boot laptop for the past few weeks, and is happy with it. It just seems to work faster than XP on it. The one thing she is not happy about is the fact that she can not type in Thai. Is there anyway I can set it like with XP, where she can switch between English and Thai easily?

Thanks.

Just go >System >preferences > keyboard, tick "Layouts" and add Thai layout.

Also have a look at the options/shortcut button in the same menu how to change with a shortcut; in this case usually "alt left and alt right " at the same time.

Now right click on your panel, "Add to panel". there is something with keyboard in the menu (I don't remember 100% the term, I'm on the new Lucid Lynx now and it changed a little, unfortunately not to the easier side), add it to the panel, click on it and you're changing between the input languages with every click.

It's easier than on Winwhateversystem. ;-)

Enjoy!

Holly cow you're right! In that case I don't blame you from staying away from my threads.
