Pattaya Police Led on High Speed Shootout by Drug Dealer

Sriracha:-- Pattaya Police Investigators became embroiled in a high speed pursuit and shootout on Saturday after a seemingly innocuous sting operation turned ugly when the suspect was approached by police.

As soon as Mr. Phongphugna stopped the vehicle police teams moved to barricade his vehicle in to prevent his escape before moving in to arrest the suspect. At this point, Mr. Phongphugna pulled out a .38 revolver to shoot the officers, crashing into an officer’s pick up before successfully driving off. The officers shot at the suspect whilst following him onto the Sukhumvit Road in the direction of Bangkok. The Officers closed the road in both directions to prevent the public from being accidentally injured. Eventually, the Officers shot at the suspects’ wheels in order to stop further escape and wounding him on his left shoulder. Miss Sanhworadee, the suspects girlfriend, was also shot in her back causing her severe injury.

Comrade Rimmer,

I still hope someday to read a different OP from you , may be about a woman delivering 6 babies all alive in Pattaya.

High speed chase and Pattaya should never been in one sentence, except if its motorcycles or helicopters involved.

30 bullet holes and just 2 hits and we have not even checked the trees and flower pots.

Good point maybe you can take the matter up with the people at Pattaya Daily News who wrote the headline :)

Headlines are made to grab attention after all.
