Which Hospital Has The Most Reputation In Blind Eye Cure?

Featured Replies

My friend's dad one eye went blind last two weeks and he has Diabetes Mellitus. So we assume he got blind because of that and therfore, they are coming to Thai to get cure. Anyone can recommend the best international hospital fot this problem? And if it is possible, May I know the most reliable or best doctor's name in that hospital? Thanks in advance!

Tel. (662) 639-3399

Fax. (662) 639-3311

Suggest you contact them and request appointment with a specialist in diabetic retinopathy. Don't delay.

Is his blood sugar well controlled? Because if not he should perhaps also see a specialist in diabetes while here, for that will need a different hospital. Several TV members have spoken favorably of the diabetes clinic at BNH hospital. Suggest Dr. Sompongse, Weerpan, or Dr Sunun there.

Sheryl, thank you so much for your reply. For diabetic retinopathy specialist in Rutnin Eye Hospital, Is there anyone you can recommend?

I also would like to know that if my friend want to check for diabetes in Bumrungrad, do you recommend it? Free Translator support in Bumrungrad is one major concern. I'm afraid they will have problem communicating at BNH hospital.

Hi philokezzar,

Worry not about the ability to communicate at BNH. Over several years I have found that most treating doctors generally speak better English than I.

A very good hospital --- although it has become quite expensive in recent years.

Sorry no, I do not know the name of specific doctors at Rutnin, just ask for one who specializes in diabetic retinopathy. Retinal disorders are a specific sub-specialty.

I'm not sure what language is involved for translation. English speaking will be no problem at any of the mentioned hospitals, but if some other language which you think is better accomodated at Bumrungrad, can certainly go there. In whioch case for the diabertes I suggest one of these docs: Dr. Apichati Vichayanrat , Dr. Sathit Vannasaeng, Dr. Varaphon Vongthavaravat , Dr. Chorthip N. Phattanasri , Dr. Jun Srimanunthiphol , or Dr. Poj Tannirandorn.

If English is not spoken well then may have some difficulty in communication at Rutnin. In which case you might prefer to consult an opthmalgost at Bumrungrad as well. Dr. Pakitti Tayanithi there specializes in diabetic retinopathy.

At Rutin could be Dr Roy, a retina specialist I've seen for advice. Speaks rather excellent English.
