Very interesting article.

You can not blame the PM for this one where was Thaksin when all the Soldiers were being taught at school.

Notthenation.com is a satire on Thai affairs and poor journalism in the English papers. Very funny stuff but don't mistake it for the truth. I love the article on architects threatening to burn State Tower.

Maybe there will soon be a large demand for competent English teachers but it will be a tough job as anyone will know who has tried to teach Thai's anything different to what they know now.

I like it. Quite amusing.

Considering some of those eminently qualified Farang English teachers I have encountered here I am not surprised.

Have a read of some of the posts here by many who come from countries whose native language is English. At least the Thais have an excuse. Australian X and Y Generations don't.

I halve a spelling chequer,

It came with my pea see,

It plainly marks four my revue,

Mistakes I dew knot sea.

Eye Strike a key and type a word,

And weight four it two say,

Weather eye am wrong oar write,

And eye can put the era rite,

And I'm shore your pleased too no,

Its letter prefect in every weigh,
