If opinion pieces are now being posted, how about this one?

The Hamas Love Boat

Dont you want to include the link? Or at least their cartoon from that article?

No wonder they had to be head shots...Since after all it was just paint balls right? :)

Sure, flying, here's the link.

http://patriotpost.us/edition/2010/06/04/digest/

Liberals should be warned. This link is a Conservative one and might cause damage to liberal thinking. It has been known to provide liberal minds with a breath of fresh air and sanity.

Edit in: Here's even another link that none of the liberals on board will like. It strikes too close to the truth for them, but it isn't about the attempt to break the legal blockade. It's about Obama, Clinton, Sestak et al.

While I am in the edit mode., does anybody besides me wonder why the organizer of this blockade running is sitting safely in her office in Cyprus and letting everybody else run the blockade?

"Shortly after 5 a.m. Israel time, Greta Berlin of the Free Gaza movement that sent the 1,200-ton Rachel Corrie said the vessel was 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Gaza's shores.

"There were two warships in the back of them ... and a smaller boat was approaching," Berlin said from the movement's headquarters in Cyprus, citing a passenger on board."

Greta Berlin is apparantly the Hamas face on all this.

I'm afraid shooting weapons out of peoples hands or " winging" them is an urban myth. When the lives of the borders became in danger, shooting to kill became the only option. Still not joining the argument of the rights and wrongs that put perhaps two sets of brave men into conflict, but try and stab me when I'm on duty carrying out lawful orders ( and yes under maritime law as grey as it may be, those men believed they were acting under lawful authority ) and I'll protect myself and my colleagues to the best of my ability.

What were they supposed to say " Hey don't stab or batter me to death because I have a paintball gun " ?

Happy now, Flying?

Always good to quote source when quoting....Otherwise...You know...

As for the cats in Cypress...well they are probably bankrupt arent they? :)

Lastly as for left wing right wing quips.....As I said before I long left them to play & believe they were different.

Many now realize they are just two wings of the same dodo bird.

The forefathers had it right......They must roll in their graves seeing what these two wings have done or torn down I should say.

But lets not drift too far.....we may hit a blockade

What were they supposed to say " Hey don't stab or batter me to death because I have a paintball gun " ?

No not at all.........They acted 100% properly...when invading a ship you have to walk the walk & talk the talk eh?

PS: was that a witty Pun when you said When the lives of the borders became in danger,

Because I gotta tell ya it is funny as sh!t

Ok...then perhaps the Israelis should not have boarded a ship that, not only was in international waters but also had very publicly announced their humanitarian mission. Keep in mind that the humanitarians had insisted on all cargo being inspected by independant parties.....Israel knew full well that there was no security contraband.

The very first line from the above link:

"The Gaza Strip has been blockaded by Israel and Egypt since June 2007,..."

* I wonder if you read it because no matter how many times it is pointed out that Egypt is apart of this you Israel-haters simply ignore it.

I guess it all depends on where it occurs.

If a man enters my home uninvited at night his body will be found there in the morning....

* Then you finally agree with what the Israelis did was right? It took a while but it's good to see you come around.

The Israelis were there to protect their home. A group lof criminals attempted to bust into the house and got killed. It's nice to hear you would have done the same.

* So, from what you are implying......Because another country contributes to the blockade, Israel is justified in boarding an aid ship whilst it is in international waters.

I don't follow your logic.

* Again....are international waters Israel's home to defend against....and, whatsmore, to defend against food and medicine for intended for deprived people?

I wonder if the IAEA was the independant party that allegedly inspected the cargo? If so, why did they still include a contraband, cement?

Ok...then perhaps the Israelis should not have boarded a ship that, not only was in international waters but also had very publicly announced their humanitarian mission.

They had very publicly announced that they were going to run the blockade and smuggle in forbidden items. They asked for violence and - as usual - are lying about what happened even though all the evidence is to the contrary.

If the people are so deprived, why is Hamas refusing to distribute the aid to them?

Irish Foreign Minister Dr. Michael Martin had earlier reached an agreement with Israel, whereby the Rachel Corrie would proceed to Ashdod where its contents would be checked, unloaded and then shipped to Gaza under observation of representatives of the activists, the UN and the Irish government. The activists rejected this offer, insisting on breaking the Israeli blockade.

http://www.jpost.com/Home/Article.aspx?id=177526

Why indeed do the mercenaries/activists refuse to allow aid to be delivered to the Palestinians? They remind me of the redshirts turning down the Thai government's peace deal and then whining about it when they lose.

You know in an early post I did drop an " a", just like calling someone an" rse hole" always forget.......

Anyway, people i'm afraid do board international shipping when they suspect weapons or the like are on board. They just do the world over :) wouldn't you if you felt the security of your family depended on it ?

Hmmm. It seems they still haven't decided who gets to profit from all this "humanitarian aid".

Here is an opinion voiced by one of the more prominent members of the White House Press Corps and the main stream media. http://www.breitbart.tv/helen-thomas-tells...-germany-poland Her words are as ugly as the face she walks around behind.
What is really amazing is that she made this hateful speech to a rabbi and two Jewish children wearing yamakas who were visiting the White House on Jewish Heritage Day and decided to interview someone "famous". She is now denying that these are her true fellings which certainly suggests that she is a liar as well as a hypocrite.

Here is the latest development on the "Humanitarian Aid" flowing to Gaza. Of course it has to get by the Israelis first (which is the easy part) and then surpass the greed of Hamas (hard part) before it is delivered to the needy.

I have decided to quote the entire article since the last two paragraphs predict upcoming events. The Reporters Without Borders (A liberal think tank?) and George (Oil for Food) Galloway are also lining up to break the blockade.

Does anybody really think this is all about relief?

Gaza blockade: Iran offers escort to next aid convoy• Aide threatens use of Revolutionary Guard

Ian Black, Middle East editor guardian.co.uk, Sunday 6 June 2010 21.20 BST Article history

Hojjatoleslam Ali Shirazi, an aide to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, pledged Tehran would send Revolutionary Guard units to escort Gaza aid convoys.

Iran has warned that it could send Revolutionary Guard naval units to escort humanitarian aid convoys seeking to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza – a move that would certainly be challenged by Israel.

Any such Iranian involvement, raised today by an aide to the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, would constitute a serious escalation of already high tensions with Israel, which accuses Tehran of seeking to build a nuclear weapon and of backing Hamas, the Islamist movement that controls Gaza.

"Iran's Revolutionary Guard naval forces are prepared to escort the peace and freedom convoys that carry humanitarian assistance for the defenceless and oppressed people of Gaza with all their strength," pledged Hojjatoleslam Ali Shirazi, Khamenei's personal representative to the guards corps.

The threat came as the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, dismissed a UN proposal for an international commission to investigate last week's commando assault on aid ships, in which nine people died. Another aid ship, the Rachel Corrie, carrying Irish and other peace activists, was boarded peacefully by Israeli forces on Saturday, escorted to the port of Ashdod, and its passengers deported.

Netanyahu has defended Israel's right to maintain the blockade by arguing that without it Gaza would become an "Iranian port" and Hamas missiles would strike Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Israel's undeclared aim is to weaken or bring down the Hamas government.

Iran continued to exploit the "freedom flotilla" affair to lambast Israel. Its foreign minister, Manuchehr Mottaki, told the Organisation of the Islamic Conference in Jeddah on Sunday that Israel's crime was "another instance of the Zionist regime's brazen and merciless treatment of Muslims, especially the oppressed Palestinian people."

Mottaki also called for a UN resolution condemning Israel. The security council is discussing imposing new sanctions on Iran because of its failure to meet international demands over its nuclear programme.

Iran and Israel have had no diplomatic relations since the 1979 revolution and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad regularly predicts the disappearance of the Jewish state as well as denying the Holocaust.

Shirazi said Iran should encourage international efforts to break the blockade. "We should expose our enemies to spontaneous global action and not let them achieve their heinous goals," he was quoted as saying by the semi-official Mehr news agency.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards, which have a command structure separate from the regular armed forces, are fiercely loyal to the supreme leader. Khamenei has attacked the raid as a "mistake" that "showed how barbaric the Zionists are".

Israel's determination to strike at links between Iran and Hamas was dramatically demonstrated in January when presumed Mossad agents in Dubai assassinated Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who was described as the Hamas official in charge of smuggling Iranian weapons into Gaza.

Israel's no-compromise attitude to aid convoys could be tested again after two Lebanese organisations pledged to send boats to Gaza in the next few days. Reporters Without Borders is attempting to assemble 25 European activists and 50 journalists for a boat leaving Beirut. The Free Palestine Movement is planning a similar attempt.

George Galloway, the founder of Viva Palestina, announced in London that two simultaneous convoys "one by land via Egypt and the other by sea" would set out in September to break the Gaza blockade. The sea convoy of up to 60 ships will travel around the Mediterranean gathering ships, cargo and volunteers.

Would Iranian warships (OK, boats) be allowed through the Suez Canal? The Somali pirates will probably grab a couple of them before they even enter the Red Sea. :)

They allegedly have some hovercraft. Maybe they plan to drive them through Turkey (their newest, bestest friends)and pop out at the Bosphorous.

Yeah I saw that article too but a shorter version at Business Insider...

Iran Ratchets Up Mideast Tension With Promise To Escort The Next Gaza Aid Boat

Your Turkey bestest friend comment did make me wonder...Because that was also on my mind last week. I mean it was not long ago Turkey was very friendly with Israel ...historically Israel's closest Muslim ally in the Middle East

Also Turkey has already mentioned they are "not happy" with the U.S. response to Israel's raid.....Same with the story about Egypt opening the borders.

Ex-friends?

Hard to tell if they are all new bestest friends as you say or if they are all just abandoning the other.

So when you said......

Does anybody really think this is all about relief?

In some ways it does seem to be,,,, but...perhaps not the relief your implying . Where will it end eh?

I am not one for predictions but things are sure heating up worldwide in many ways & many places.

As long as the Big Zero is our President, things will continue to heat up. Nobody gives a crap about "Tough Diplomacy", even if they know what it is.

Our(US)adversaries will continue to ratchet up tension as they know Zero will do zero to curtail their plans. The world's best hope is a new President elected in 2012.

Turkey threw down the gauntlet when they refused permission for the 4th Infantry Division to cross their territory at the onset of the Iraqi War. Turkey has become more and more Islamic centered in the past few years and appears to be headed even deeper into that mind set. Shariah law may be coming next.

I am not one for predictions but things are sure heating up worldwide in many ways & many places.

thats what i was thinking & this has the potential to get really ugly. exactly what some people wanted, i feel.

I think many would be surprised at who all wants or could use a WW

Look at history & the last great depression

Ahhh don't go there. Ive been saying that all along. The greatest WAR machine known of all time. :)

The good news today is the wicked witch of the east (AKA Helen Thomas) has resigned from Hearst Newspapers and will no longer be the front row gargoyle at WH press conferences.

Her loud mouth finally overloaded her wrinkled mind.
