I'd give the nod to the Romans. They lasted a millenium. The Brits were never really on top. Their neighbors never even let them onto the continent for long. However the Brits errors of the past are a main contributor to the troubles of today. The way they carved up the Middle East and other places where they were true occupiers made a mess of things.

Exactly! This is the main issue. Israel could nominate any independant body to inspect the aid convoys, they could blockade for security reasons, but they really have no excuse for blocking anything else. They are asking for trouble; the world is finally getting sick and tired of the Israeli arrogance and inhumanitarian ways.

Many countries, NZ included, boycotted South Africa for the apartheid system. It's way past time to put pressure on Israel for their own (worse) version of apartheid.

I would also like to mention that I also feel that the USA has also given alot to the world, one shouldnt overlook that & I don't, you only have to look at the aid they have given world wide. Anyway, time will tell, history isnt always that kind. RIP.
