I dont totally understand that reply to you except the implication that MC is available now but may not be soon!

Does anyone know if it is still broadcasting on the CBand as before?

i have completely dismantled my Cband setup in favour of Astro, but I still have a valid MC smartcard (bought from SAfrica) and the relevant decoder. If i reinstall all this will I get a signal on these sports channels?

This is utterly beyond me as I thought that the CBand service was gone forever!

I feel your pain as well musiclover. My interpretation of what he is is saying is that there is a small subset of MC, less than 10 channels, available from somewhere. I am not really interested in messing about with this to get just a few channels of the old MC service, and will wait until after the World cup ends, then I will sort out where I am going to point that big old dish to get something worth watching.

Are you getting any KU band signals from 68.5E

Isn't there a multi-station porn broadcast still on c-band as a subscription? I remember reading something about that ... must buy a receiver and subscribe to the service, etc.

But my C-band is still up and collecting dust. Porn would be better if I could make it work. :)

You could just reach up onto the roof, grip the satelite dish and using your over developed right bicep twist the dish around until you find the right porn signal. Remember, its all in the wrist.

Porn in Thailand is as essential as tits on a bull.

I was assuming that the dish is moveable?

There are many satellites offering both C and Ku band signals.

www.lyngsat.com gives all the details.
