Hey, I've just noticed that your two butt-plug posts follow mine which follow Ian's. You're not not infering I'm someone's butt-plug I hope. :lol: I would not know where to begin. By the way, do they buz?

Reminds me....I was in the butcher shop yesterday (a chain called The Mad Butcher). They had all the normal cuts of beef, and then a range of cuts that were thicker, labelled "Man Size Sirloin" etc. I looked at a package "Man Size Rump" and had to wonder.

I'm still not buying into the trolling call.

I think it's just to easy to shout troll and pretend that you were never being serious in the first place. It's interesting to see Ian try to fight his way out of it though because that's when the contradictions really begin to flow.

Depends on your definition of troll.

For a fisherman 'trolling' is a way of encouraging fish to take the bait.

For internet forum enthusiasts 'trolling' is an unknown poster trying to disrupt the peace of the forum (or similar)

But in both cases if you don't take the bait, the troller fails in his/her objective.

Not as good as what we had last night... namely, reasonably fresh scallops, halibut, prawns and tuna steaks, along with a tossed salad from the garden, and washed down with a nice Merlot. I'll miss that in few weeks when I return to Thailand to dine on Kow Padt and Kai te ow, or Kai yut sai and Padt Thai.

We don't worry too much about what wine is SUPPOSED to go with certain foods. We just go with what we enjoy and have available. I DO know the so called rule of red wines with red meats and white wines wtih fish or chicken. If we had a Sauterne available we would probably have had that as well. All I'm pointing out is how well I dine when in Canada. I'm a good cook and so is my friend who supplied the sea food. We get a LOT of sea food and practically live on it between bouts of wild venison meals. We had that the night before.

Give yerself one, I just knew some chateau de cardboard drinker such as yourself would assume I was referring to that old and innacurate rule about reds and whites.

It was not a reference to that rule (of thumb), it was a reference to merlot in particular, with seafood.....I reckon they just don't go. A lighter red such as beajolais might have been better.

Why overpower or distract one nice taste with another? Better to complement each other, surely?

To put things into your perspective........ would you rather a glass of milk with your fish 'n chips, or lemonade?

Nice banter, you guys. I just drink what is poured in my glass... no questions asked. I'm too much of a cheap charlie to buy wine for myself; the stuff is too damm expensive. I'd just as soon drink water with a bit of lemon. But, I usually bring a bottle of something nice when I get asked out for supper. I help out in other ways depending on people's needs. I don't give gifts at Christmas or birthdays, either. But, I have no problem buying something expensive when one of my children needs it.

And covering the teapot in a tea cosy that was knitted by someone's grandmother is a must, as are the digestive biscuits daintly placed in the saucer ready for convenient dunking. Ah, them were the days. :D

I've always been a tea granny. I usually make a whole pot full which gives me two big mugs and a half. I prefer a blend of orange Pekoe and what is locally called "raspberry thriller". I add a touch of lemon to that. In fact that is what I had for supper tonight along with fresh baked cinnamon buns with lots of the sticky stuff.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.........

Seems we gotta go visit Harky again.

Try his tea, usually have coffee, time for a change.

Took him a starter for, Pope Pius Cake....... chain cake woteva, a few weeks back.

I have a NZ$3,500.00 espresso machine.

A $2.00 chinese china teapot and it makes me 2 cups brew, love it.

What is supper, is that another meal after the main dinner meal, which was after smoko and afternoon tea, which wasnt that long after lunch, prior to that you had morning smoko and breakfast when you woke up? :lol:
