Work Permit Minimum Wage

Featured Replies

I just recieved a work permit and will have a job with commissions. I am American and I noticed that Americans shall recieve no less than 60,000 baht a month. I will have a salary lower than this. IS THIS BASED ON THE PRESUMPTION THAT I WILL BE MAKEING COMMISSION?

Thank you and look forward to a response.

There 'wage limits' are ONLY for getting a one-year extension in your visa. Your employer is under no requirement to pay you enough for that extension. If you are paid less, you can still get a 90 dy visa and a Work Permit, no sweat.

davethailand's reply is correct. In order to renew your work permit, you will need to show receipts showing that personal income tax was withheld on the salary stated in the work permit application that enabled you to get your work permit.

Good luck!
