Thai Fonts On Mobile Phone?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an HTC Desire android phone and am unable to get thai fonts working.

I've installed a few apps and all i see on my keyboard is squares - not thai fonts.

I also cannot read text messages that are in Thai - again, just squares.

If anyone can help me i'd much appreciate it. My phone is from UK and does not have any other languages apart from English.

This is regarding the Nexus one which the Desire is very close to. Source From other forums also they state it needs to be rooted which will void the warranty and not something to do casually.

There is no way to install Thai fonts on the phone without rooting it, and there is no way of rooting the phone without voiding the warranty. That said, once rooted and the fonts installed, apps and websites render very nicely with no obvious problems with word segmentation.
