Is 3G Really Available In Bangkok?

I bought AIS Aircard Super 3G in Bangkok. The salesman told me that Bangkok doesn't have 3G and if I really want the internet speed to be fast, I can buy i-mobile 3GX as it would be faster than AIS EDGE/GPRS. Does TRUE or HAPPY have 3G in Bangkok? If not then maybe I have to buy an i-mobile 3GX SIM card. But some people told me it's not that fast afterall. So, would appreciate if someone could recommend me something faster than the AIS EDGE/GPRS SIM card for internet. Thanks!

AIS only has 3G in Chiang Mai and Hua Hin. I'm on AIS 3G in Chiang Mai.

I have the True 3G on my phone and coverage where I live (On Nut) and where I go (Suk/Silom) is very good. Outside of those areas I don't know...
