You can get locally made brands of omeprazole, same family of drugs, at very low cost

As Sheryl mentioned, the generics are very cheap. "Miracid" is 22THB for 10 pills.

Ah, I asked for the wrong one at my local Rangsit pharmacy. The 20 mg Nexium is baht 660 for 10 tabs.

FYI, my doc put me on these for a week a couple years back, worked temporarily. He did it again last year, same result, temp.

So I went back to Xanidine, one pill a day, evening just before bed. Bought a box today, baht 90 for 100 tabs (that's one hundred!), pretty cost effective! They work fine for GERD if that's what you have.
