As it says.. I want to buy a pair of spring compressers to use on my cars coil springs.. I've had a look round town, Santi hardware, homepro etc.. but no luck.. Any other places that have a good range of tools ? Only really need a cheap set !

Make a set ? It isn't rocket science. just a couple of bits of threaded bar and a couple of hooks  It makes it even more satisfying when you do !

I just use the cars weight to compress and replace easy really and if done right even safer then compressing them off the car..

Thanks for the replies guys.. The whole stru assemblies are off the car so couldn't use the weight.. I used two pieces of ally flat bar and a couple of long bolts.. All apart now and the new springs are shorter .. :)

One shop I found that seems to have most stuff is the parts shop near Naklua traffic lights on a corner just before all the old wooden shop houses. (coming from Bangkok). It has a big banner front with Isuzu, Mitsubishi etc, Take a picture with you.wink.gif

Failing that take the whole assemblies to sat Cockpit and they will disassemble them..
