Hi all

I am in need of advice. I am planning to visit Thailand in August for a mini face lift and nose surgery. I will be using Dr Kunachak at the Yoskarn Clinic. Included in my price is 8 days at their hotel the Aphrodite Inn. Once I leave this hotel I am at a loss of where to go to recover and I dont think I will be in a fit state to travel home. Can anyone advise on a good hotel around 3-4 star status that has amenties that would suit my needs. I have considered going to a resort but am wary of venturing too far away from the doctor....I would like a place that has a pool or is near a nice beach if possible..

I hope you can help....

Any advice is appreciated.

Regards

What are your needs? Have you considered asking someone at the Clinic for a suggestion? How long do you think it is going to take to recover from your planned surgery?

Hi

I have scheduled the op for Aug 23 with an 8 day stay over in their the doctors hotel (Aug 30). It is then planned to go somewhere close to rest for 7 days.....I have asked about recovery time.....was estimated to be 2 wks...?

I have looked at hotels in Pattaya.....seems its about 1 - 1/2 hrs away from Bangkok......? No idea is this is ideal or not...

Would apppreciate your comments

Thanks

Hello Dibee51,

With your procedure types, I would recommend not staying in Pattaya, or anywhere near a beach, sun and salt water for that matter.

In reality, the temptation will be very great get out in the sun, and maybe even get near the salt water. After your surgery you will want to avoid excessive exposure to sun until the surgery has completely healed.

If it is in your budget, the Centara Grand is right around the corner from where you are getting your surgery. The Holiday Inn is also very close, and a bit cheaper. I would expect that these places might have some great deals going on now.

Actually, if you go to something like hotels.com and enter "CentralWorld Plaza, Bangkok, Thailand" as your landmark search term, you will get a list of places.

If you wanted to get to a resort, I have heard there are some decent places now in Kanchanaburi (which has some good food as well) which are not too far from Bangkok. But there would be no real medical services closer than Bangkok.

Best regards,

Forget about doing any deals that include hotel accomodation. You will get a far better deal if you book your own hotel. There are hundreds of hotels near the clinic, all with vacnacies. Then when you get here go & have a consulation with your doctor first. There is no need to commit to anything up-front or pay any deposits.

Hundreds of hotels near the clinic. Wow. All I need is internet access for work, bed, toilet, room service and I'm good to go. I plan to go to Yoskarn Clinic in August, so any hotel that's cheap and near the clinic would be great. I could check each and every hotel myself but hotel suggestions to save me some time would be much appreciated.
