Alarming circumstances beyond my control have meant that I have to move to the Ubon area. And despite making exhaustive enquiries I have been unable to locate a decent condo or house to rent here in Ubon! We are a family of four people. I do not have to stay in the Ubon but I have been here for a month or so and it is a very pleasant place. I was wondering if anybody had a nice house to rent in the Ubon area or even Khon Kaen which I would also consider. I expect to stay at least a year. Many have also said that Ko Chang and Rayong or nice. I am quite open but it is imperative that there are suitable schools close by. Lost in Isaan .... Thanks in anticipation Nip

Tom was helpful when we were looking for a place. Didn't end up using anything she showed us, but she was helpful. We were amazed at how little there was to rent in Ubon. Seems to be mostly word of mouth. Nothing like Chiang Mai where every other house has a rental sign on it.

Haha, I didn't get a chance to get a word in as he struck up a conversation with a customer from Finland about the War which went on a bit! The tourist police lady pulled me aside and wanted to know what they were fighting about. I laughed and told her that they weren't fighting, just discussing things loudly whilst waving their arms around!

Oh no, Memock. That's not still dragging on, is it? Bad luck Mate

Haha Patriot - no way mate! That Finnish customer would never be allowed to set foot inside the shop let alone have time to start a conversation! This Finnish customer is much more well adjusted and has at least half a brain. :)

Last I heard - that Finnish customer fell off his motorbike whilst looking for land to start a Christmas tree plantation on.

Look; I may be wrong, but I hear there's a gay Italian up Changsanit Road who is promoting himself as Christmas Fairy this year.

Is this the bloke with the restaurant Patriot? Maybe he can do a fairy pizza special or something for Christmas. I might try and contact That Finnish customer and see if he might be available to help out. As there is a real lack of Christmas trees in Ubon at the moment perhaps he could fill in as the tree for a few weeks. He is just big enough to pull the job off I think.
