Hello, I live in Australia and enquiring about travelling to Thailand for a tubal reversa procedurel. I would like to know if anyone knows of experienced surgeons in the field of laparoscopic tubal reversal. I am 39 yrs old and had a ligation 12 yrs ago, I have no pre existing gynecological conditions. I am planning a trip to Thailand in September and would like to know cost etc... I very much look forward to hearing from anyone who can help me with their knowledge or experiences .Thank you in advance

Sat 07:00 - 11:00 Women's Center

UK trained and a Professor at a leading medical school, he conducted the fiorst trial of tubal reversal using miocrosurgival techinique in Thailand and has published in international peer reviewed journals.

As for cost, I don't know, suggest you email the hospital (www.bumrungrad.com) and ask. Specify "microsurgical reversal of tubal ligation"

I know that in the US, where the microsurgical approach is an outpatient procedure, the all inclusive price at clinics which specialize exclusively in it runs at $6,000. Don't be surprised if it isn't that much less in Thailand - a bit less yes, m=but maybe just by 15-20%.

As you probably know, the success rate (pregnancy following reversal) at your age is not that high. Actually even without having had a TL, success rate in becoming pregnant at 39 not that high. For which reason some fertility experts might recommend you consider other options. If you were younger, a reversal would be the obvious choice but at 39, I'm not so sure.
