Land Prices In Chiyaphum

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm not familar with the cost of land in this part of Thailand but i'm looking to make an investment 'possibly' if the price is right. Does anybody know what a Rai of land is going for in rural Chiyaphum? Or, if you have bought some land yourself out of town what you roughly paid per rai?

I'm not looking for an exact figure as i'm sure prices vary accordingly but just a rough estimate for land prices in or around this part of Issan?

I take it you are aware a Farang cannot own land in Thailand?

Sorry, best to get that out of the way first, as its bound to come up sooner or later.

I am Dave yes. I want this land for agricutural reasons and as I see it, Foreigners' cannot have any dealings with this industry what so ever! So even if i stuck my name on a usufruct, it would be pointless.

Anyway, even if you could manage that somehow I am only looking for about 10 rai or so. I have checked out baht & sold and have seen land prices going for 40,000 baht per rai. I am sure this can be had cheaper as her folks live quite far out of town.
