i got a new passport today,non b 3months expires 15 august. i will leave country for a new non b also 3 months.....old passport is cancelled.

i guess just show both passports when leaving Thailand to immigration at airport?and they will transfer departure card to new passport with the last visa nr?

If somebody have some info would be great...

Just show both passports to immigration at departure, they will take care of the rest.

The correct way is to visit immigration and have the stamps transferred to the new passport. It is a free service. Often immigration at the airport will do it, but it will mean a delay so allow for extra time.

I have always had the stamps transferred from the old passport to the new passport at immigration. Makes me feel better to have all the stamps sorted out, rather than depending on a stressed-out officer at the airport while my flight is boarding.

I just did this on Wednesday at Chaeng Wattana. Took nearly 2 hours - not sure if queues were long due to 2 days holidays prior? Surely must be faster than this at airport? With drive out and back took from 11am to 4pm for this free service at Chaeng Wattana.

To delay matters worse, I had the old full UK passport but forgot to cut off the corner as the embassy told me to do when the new one arrived from Hong Kong by DHL to cancel the old, so officer said I had to take it back to embassy first to cancel it! I asked if I could cancel there and then if she'd lend some scissors as embassy said to do, but was told to leave as the cut corners needed photocopies also. The copy rooms are a five minute walk away at other end of the monstrous building. Luckily my wife sweet talked the same official to let us back in queue number but passport along with others was still sat on desks for over an hour waiting for the stamp transfer.
