Dining Clubs Or Dining Out With Groups Of Expats And Locals On A Regular Basis

I am interested in dining out in Bangkok and trying some of the city's many great restaurants on a regular basis. Perhaps once a month or so.

Anyone know of any dining clubs here?

Perhaps there are enough like minded people who would like to start one? It would be a great way to socialise and have a great night in one of the best cities for dining out.

Participants could nominate a restaurant and then we take a vote. Once a month would suit me.

Anyone here up for something like that?

In the past I have seen similar posts to this one and have not seen one that produced anything. I really don't see this post being any different. ;)

Why don't you join a Rotary club. You meet a lot of interesting people. And if you are a member you can go to other Rotary club meetings. They all have meals at different restaurants and very good too.

The problem with creating such a group in BKK is geographically it is too large of an area. If you lived in Pattaya the Pattaya City Expats Club has 3 dining groups for the members. One a monthly Fine Dining group Meeting this Wednesday at Sir Georges on 3rd road, or the Fish and Chips Group that meets monthly and met last night at the English Tavern called "the Pig and Whistle" for gigantic Plate of fish and chips in batter or bread crumbs or plain steamed or pan fried for only B180 to the group, regular B225. One more group the "Frugal Freddy group that meets at a different restaurant each Monday for comparatively inexpensive dining but good socializing and networking with other expats. Normally 20 - 30 expats get together each week. This coming Monday we will be meeting at a new pizza restaurant (the New York Pizza House)that has been getting very good reviews from the members. They also are giving us a 20% discount off of the complete menu. To get on my mailing list for the last 2 groups PM me or e-mail me and I will add you to the groups. For fine dining or to just lurk and watch when you are in town, go to the web site www.pattayacityexpatsclub.com.

So how soon will you be moving to Pattaya?:partytime2::burp::rolleyes::clap2:

I was member of the Dusti Thani wine club, every month a special chef and wine maker prepairing food combined with wine.

Dont know if they still have this event, at that time it was very good a and a mix of foreigners and Thai people.

Just give them call,
