Cannot Paste Screen Print On Acer 4736, Win 7.

I have an Acer Aspire 4736 with Windows 7 OS.

I have tried repeatedly to paste a screen print without success.

When I paste to Paint or Mocrosoft Word, I get the message:

'PrintScreen is disabled'

I have Googled but cannot find out how to enable the PrintScreen Button.

Anyone had a similar problem or can advise how to enable the PrintScreen?

Thanks :)

Thanks to Lopuri 3's post I've finally cracked it.

I rarely use screen prints and have never had a need since I changed to my current laptop.

However, I had a bad fall a few months back, the result of which is I have a metal T-Plate in my wrist to hold all the broken bones together.

The plate will remain there indefinitely so I may have problems going through x ray machines at airports.

What's all this got to do with screen prints, you may ask.

Well I asked my favourite hospital, Bangkok Pattaya, for a copy of my x-rays so that I can carry them with me when travelling and show them if my metal; plate sends the metal detector off.

No problems, they said and gave me a cd.

I put the cd in my machine, and lo and behold there were pics of all my lovely x-rays.

But could I copy, save or print these pics? No way. I tried every way known to man but the medical software system was clearly designed to prevent any of these action.

So I tried a screen print and got the message "SceenPrint Disabled"

It didn't occur to me for one moment that it was bloody Bangkok Pattaya's software that was disabling my ScreenPrint function.

But after reading Lopburi 3's post this morning I decided to restart the PC without the cd and lo and behold, the screen print function worked!

I put the cd back in but the screen print function once again became disabled.

So I downloaded picpick and then tried the ScreenPrint function.

It worked with PicPick and I have now been able copy and print my x-rays.

All a bit boring, but just thought you might like to know.

PicPick is very good. :)

I can't believe it's gone that far, the X-rays are yours. You paid for having them done. and it is you on the images,

And then a nasty little cowardly vendor of shitty proprietary crapware is stopping decent people to access what rightfully belong to them... I will be pissed for two weeks...

It's absolutely true.

Not only does their software prevent anyone copying or printing from it, but they don't even inform you of this. So I spent countless hours trying to figure out why I couldn't do a ScreenPrint before I realised that it was Bangkok Pattaya's bloody CD that was the culprit.

It's no more than I expect from an organisation that is totally dedicated to screwing the maximum amount of money out of it's 'customers' and has no discernible medical ethics.

My op and after care cost over 250K Baht and they can't even give me a proper copy of my x-rays.

Medical care in Pattaya is a huge problem as all the good doctors are at Bangkok Pattaya but they are only driven by the need to make money for themselves and their employer.

All the other hospitals are frankly, third world, when it comes to any medical problem that is half way serious.

So when you have a bad accident, as I did, you are between a rock and a hard place.

Sorry to hear that Mobi, you wont' hear good things about Bangkok Samui hospital from me either but thats neither here nor there.

I use fireshot -- a firefox addon for screen shots, you can take screenshots of your browser window or your screen itself, it automatically saves it to an editable jpg.
