Sakkarin Chanyotha and Naruepol Arromsawad, from Assumption, Thonburi, and Ronnachai Rangsiyo, from Assumption College, Bangrak have joined Everton Football Club for the next 9 months.

They will train at the club and study on Merseyside.

They were selected out of 200 Thai youth footballers by academy director Ray Hall.

All three were part of the side that won the gold medal in the ASEM Youth Games in Bangkok last month.

They will join Sompong Sorlarb and Rattapol Piyawuthikul who were recruited as part of the Chang deal last year.

Hope they do better than other Thais. I seem to remember some player who was supposed the great hope of Thai football joining Huddersfield a few years ago. I'm not even sure he made it into the 1st team before he moved on back home.

There is no chance they will make it...................just part of the deal for sponsorship from Chang

You're probably right but lets hope they take back the hard work ethic that is needed to succeed in professional sport and even then success is not guaranteed.

They have no chance of making it ...look at the 3 boys before leesaw and friends...They are homesick...And they do not want to play with the football academy...and when they come home they make big headlines like...Everton nevr give them chance to play or train with the reserves or 1st team.....

This is all part of the sponsorship deal...ASIAN cant make it there...I used to play football professionally in Asia and to play in England with the cold temperature is suiside for asian....

There are so many koreans,japanese,Singaporean,Africans..that did not make it even for trials...And look at Veron he too suffer playing in england...

So this boys from Thailand is just up for SHOW....

Anyway good luck to 3 of them

I think that the Thai player was nicknamed Zico.

Thai football has progressed alot in the last 10 years but it is still along way from the South Korea and Japan. It will be interesting how the Koean player Man U have signed gets on.

The 3 lads are among the best in Asia, it will be a good ground for them and for local football hopefuls. all the best..

If Everton want to make a mint out of Thailand they should bung them in the first team oneSaturday when they will be on the TV in Asia.

Whats 3 points compared to the millions such a move would make?

I reckon Thai national pride would override any sense of loyalty Thai football fans feel towards the likes of Arsenal, ManU etc.

I think that the Thai player was nicknamed Zico.

It was Zico, at the time the Thai captain and top scorer, had trials with middlesborough, where Brian Robson (manager at the time) reccomended him to Steve Bruce at Huddesfield, then a 3rd div side I think, he had a one year contract at 1500 USD a week, and never even made the first team subs bench. This is the gulf between Thai football and European football, however the Thai's improved a lot with Peter Withe, the most successful Thailand manager ever who was sacked while on holiday

Glad my memory is still ok. When the Thai national side have been over here they have invariably played Conference sides. I think the last time was a couple of years ago. Having seen a couple of interviews by Withe he did feel he had gone as far as he could with the Thai side in his 5 years. Yes he did an excellant job. Best of luck to him in Indonesia.

He was probably happy to be sacked then he was making about 400,000 a month and two years left on his contract, which the Thai football association was obliged to pay him. nice work if you can get it

Those fifa rankings are pretty misleading though - national teams could arrange friendlies against diddy countries and have a high ranking.

It does make it interesting in our house when scotland vie for position with Thailand!
