Out of respect for the Saudi Royal Family could you please close this thread.

What concern is the Saudi royal family to this board? If you wish to close the thread because it didn't go your way Thomas them PM the mods, do not find an excuse for the closure.

It doesn't break board rules nor bedlam rules as there are none relating to the Saudi royal family.

And also... Why do you have respect for the Saudi Royal Family, how have they earned that...?

I fuly agree Totster, same thing when the Pope died, why do I have to repect that?

People die everyday, what makes these people so different?

Because the Saudi who died was a member of the ruling class? F.uck that.

If this thread is closed for that reason, then its a poor mod decision.

Off topic YES, dead Saudi Arabian dude, NO!

I have to agree with you guys, the Saudi Royal Family have no bearing here and there is no reason to even bring them up in this thread. Mr. Merton starts a lot of controversial rantings and threads but wants this one closed for something totally unrelated to the thread. What a joke!

Thomas, why do you care? I really am curious. To me, this news is more important:

He is coming back soon!

... I am against unilateral intervention without UN mandate and a clear agenda.

Unfettered naiveté to the Max!

Just what color is the sky on the world you're living on, Bitterfly? :o

...careful now, you don't want to get turfed off here so soon after starting posting again! :D

Note: Never form any kind of pact or commitment with BoonMee, from his above comment it appears he thinks that playing by the rules is only ok when the rules work in ones own favour.

Overdose of renegade cop breaking all the rules because 'you don't mess with my family' movies?

:D

I know Boon Me for quite a while. We all know he can't be trusted. Too coward for any commitment :D

Not at all there Butterfly.

I'm totally committed to Truth, Justice & The American Way! :D

Sarcasm I hope ? :D

This is has been the best news of the week. The fat ###### is dead. Great. He was a corrupted POS. The world is a better place without him for sure.

Last time, I am talking about you, nothing but you. Why do you have to be such an a$$hole.?I am not right, or left , you are the one hung up on it. You have been nothing buy insulting this whole time. I don't think you want to discuss, but fight. I don't care about any points you are making or wanting to make, I am discussing you as a human being and why you feel the need to insult and unjustly attack people. Plain and simply, and you are the one who has ignored me.

Shhh!!! :o

Yes I am an ###### but what's your point ? I couldn't care less of the left or right either. I am only pointing to the Right wing extremists <deleted> in the US who have been nothing but trouble since they took over the GOP with their religious nuts. In other matters, yes I wouldn't care about right and left and agree with you that both hands need to work together. However, as you probably know, the division wasn't started by the "lefties" and "liberals". The NeoCons and their evil agenda have started to demonize everything since they took office that didn't agree with them, labelling "lefties" (like you did), "traitor", "anti-patriots", "liberals" anyone who would dare questions their evil plan. They created that "division" by shutting down any discussions that the "opposition" would bring. So yes I am "justified" in attacking right wing lunatics because they are scums and "traitors" and need to be shot for what they are doing. Now for some reasons, you feel insulted when I call a spade a spade. Maybe I am wrong, but do you feel that you belong to that group ? honnest question. If you don't belong to that group, why do you feel insulted then ? are you an "unconditional" Bush supporter ? again another honnest question. And no I am not going to attack you for answering those 2 honnest questions. I am only attacking a group that deserve to be attacked. In your line of thinking, SS and Nazi would get a free ride because attacking them would be "unpatriotic". Shhh!!

Likewise, likewise, Boon Me, except the American Way is a myth and a fairy tale.

Do you believe in fairy tales Boon Boon ? :D

You guys seriously need a sense of humor :o

I think it was a joke, sarcasm, a provocative bone thrown into a provocative thread

Good one TM :D

I think we can all be happy that the Fat King is dead. He wasn't just another Arab corrupt leader. This is great news !!!

I hate Bush! Plain and simple. However, I feel that America is screwed unless we can get away from a two party system. As far as I can tell the only way to do that, is focus on finding answers to problems, which would hopefully lead the creation of new parties, instead of supporting the two that are here now, I don't trust either of 'em. I do lean more towards the left, but I am tried of seeing Americans fighting while these two parties make off with all the gold, so to speak. It's time for a change and that will come from the people not the parties.

I believe that American patriotism is defending the ideals of the freedom upon which the country was based, not defending a party or person, or organization. If any of these go against those ideald than they need to be removed. So, never look to the government for the truth. However, what I was trying to say earlier was that the common man can't be blamed for everything a government does. I have a wife and a daughter, I go to school, she to work. I study and spend time with my daughter. I catch the news here and there, but I can't follow it all the time. So, are you saying that myself a person trying to take care of my family (something far more important) a terrorist or an evil person just because Bush was elected and invaded a country he shouldn't have? This would inculde you as well, ya know? You can't attack everybody for every thing. Bush did wrong attack him, and those who still support him, not the whole country. That's all I am saying.

Amen to that. I agree with you entirely. However until we have a "real opposition", we are stuck with what we have and have to work with what we have. Yes the 2 party system is evil. Not enough choices and the public is stuck between 2 bad choices. It has a few advantages (it simplify the debates for the masses) but it has a lot more disadvantages.

Absolutely and you are mostly right. People in the US want to go on with their life like we do in the rest of the world. I am not denying this. However when an important issue becomes "hot" like the War in Iraq, I think it's a citizen duty to be informed and do his own research to make sure he is not mislead. We know exactly that governments will spin anything. By doing a little research, and applying your critical thinking and common sense you can see very quickly the red flags. It's also a citizen duty to "warn" others on what's going without necessarly being "political" about it. The Iraq war was almost a perfect case study and was very useful in that sense to learn how things went and went wrong.

So I guess we agree mostly on those things. Not sure why we were pigfighting about. But I am sure you won't agree with me that the public should learn how to be "informed" on its own when it's confronted to "dramatic" events like the "War on Iraq" or the "War on Terra". It's a shame it didn't happen.

Actually I do. The lives we live today are nuts, so I can't blame someone for losing track of things, but I have meet too many Americans who didn't pay attention in history and english classes to learn enough to know when they are being feed B.S. What's the point of education if you don't use it?

I am just as displeased with people who refuse to, what, look at anything but what they want. My father's side of the family is all pro-gun, to the point of foolishness. They only vote for the person who supports that issues in their favor. Talk about ruining the country. I have no problem with the 2nd Ad. but to base all of ones voting desicions on one issue is nuts. Too many Americans do this, because it's easy, or they only care about one issue. Anyway, I'm going out there now , so, I'll stop.
