I previously used Sony Ericsson PC Suite to manage my tethered SE k790i which allowed me to save contacts, manage/transfer files and send/receive SMS directly from my PC. I'm mostly interested in the ability to send/receive SMS from the PC to my HTC Desire as it is much easier for me to type in Thai on a standard keyboard then the Desire touch screen.

I found this PC Suite for Android which looks perfect but it always crashes when I try to install it (Win7). The site shows Vista support but not 7. Set to WinXP compatibility mode, run as administrator and still the installation crashes.

Has anyone got the above to work on Win7? Alternative, anyone have a suggestion for a PC app that can send/receive SMS from the PC to a tethered HTC Desire?
