Thailand Darts Association - Charity Tournament

Featured Replies

TDA is going to host a Charity Tournament at the end of this month for our old friend Kenneth Ywin.

For those who don’t know who Kennet is we like to enlighten you that he has been one of the driving forces of darts in Thailand for the past 20 years.

He has been very active for many of the charity and major tournaments that has been in the past in Bangkok and elsewhere. Bangkok darts league has also been under his wing.

Early this year Kenneth became very sick due to kidney failure. Has been to numerous hospital visits for dialyze, eye surgery and other medical treatments. He still has a long and expensive way to fully recover.

So to try to ease up on his medical bills as good as we can and to show our appreciation of his past work of promoting darts in Thailand we are going to hold this tournament on July 30.

Come and join us in this charity event, who knows maybe we can help you in the future if something similar happen to you.

NEWS UPPDATE:

TDA has decided that there will be a Group/Pool A and a Group/Pool B that plays on the 30'th.

Since we have a good knowledge and history of all who play in the leagues we can determine pretty good on who belong in which group.

This is a good initiative to try to encourage more players to come and have a better chance to play against others at their level.

Thank Osmo for the change of plans. He will attend with a group of players from Hua Hin to compete, and hopefully we can get players from Pattaya and elsewhere to join us.

There will be a singles game and a doubles game to compete in. There will be 1-3 position prizes (3000, 2000, and 1000) in both the singles and doubles and off course the bragging rights of being the best at the event. Maybe Yong will meet his match. :-)

Entry fee is for the singles and doubles 150thb/person.

13coins-rama9-soi57.jpg The event is held at the old place that most of us have been before, The 13 Coins, Rama 9, and soi 57.

Registration will start from 11.00 am in the morning of 30 July 2005.

You will also have a chance to buy some new flights and accessories at the event. If you want us to bring something special, please send an email or use the contact us form before the event.

So friends of darts, Kenneth and TDA, bring your darts and big heart to join with us in this fine charity tournament. :o

Welcome,

Vichai Govindani, President of Thailand Darts Association
