International Boxing

Featured Replies

Is anyone aware that there is an international boxing match here in Chiang Mai on Friday 3rd. I believe its the defending of the WBC Strawweight Division. I can only find out that its on at a place called Kad Choeng Doi. Does anyone have any more information about this topic. Myself and a few friends really want to go, but I can't find any more details on this. Any help would be brilliant.

Info here..................... http://www.maxboxing.com/fight-schedule

Thanks for that, but I kind of knew that already. What I am really after is more info on what the venue is like, where it is, what time it starts and are there tickets or can you pay on the door/gate.

I dont know the venue but it looks like its between Nimmanhaemin and Irrigation Canal Rd.

If you find any details please post them, I would like to go myself.

Choeng Doi 'market' is where Tawan Daeng is. A huge parking lot area in between Nimmanhaemin Rd and the Canal Road.

I took a drive over there this mornng. The ring is being built, and Toyota seem to be the main sponsor. The posters advertise a 10.00 am start Friday 3rd September. If this is the main event or the run up I am not sure.

hmm i heard it was a muay thai championship fight. anyone know if they're mixing the 2 events?

This is excellent. REAL boxing in CM. I've seen events in Isaan and down BKK way, but never in CM. Anyone can maybe post a google map pinpointing this would be great.

i'm to lazy to draw a map, but on nimman, opposite miguels express, there's a small tesco and a bangkok bank branch. turn down that soi, drive past punna place where powerhouse gym and wawee coffee is about 100m, turn left at the tiny round about, and theres a huge area to your right with a stage set up that u can't miss.
