The Bradford family of a drummer killed in a high-speed crash, is preparing to fly out to Thailand to bring him home. Sam Lewinson, who has worked with big music industry names like Fat Boy Slim, Roger Sanchez, and Eric Morillo, died last weekend on the island of Koh Samui where he lived with his fiancee.

His devastated brother Roy Lewinson said the 52-year-old was killed when his motorbike was involved in a collision with a car in the early hours. Global percussionist Mr Lewinson, is from Heaton, Bradford, and in the 1980s embarked upon a musical career achieving fame across the globe from Europe to Russia and Japan.

From the mid 1990s to 2007 he worked on the party island of Ibiza where he was an event promoter and resident artist at hot spots Pacha, Privilege, Space and Amnesia. He moved to Thailand managing music events and performing at multi-media stage shows, product launches, promotions, live concerts, theme parties, fashion and dance shows.
