New-Look Pattaya SWAT Team prepare for action

PATTAYA: -- Following the controversies surrounding the Pattaya SWAT Unit, an elite force of highly trained Pattaya Police Officers have been reassembled and this time, there was no evidence of foreign involvement in the unit. On Wednesday Afternoon, in front of Pattaya Police Station, Police Colonel Nantawoot and his two deputies, held a parade of the heavily armed SWAT Team who will respond to serious firearms incidents around the Pattaya area

So no more patrolling fully geared up...?

Let's hope they actually underwent training from a real police officer this time. Hopefully someone that was hired over from a real police academy in the US or atleast attended one...

Does this mean that sifu is out of a job??? What happened to the yellow hummers:whistling:

What happened to snifu in the end?

A follow up story on that would be more interesting

I hope these guys are better trained than the Philipino guys!

Unfortunatly Pattaya does need a team like this.

What happened to Snap-on? Was he transferred to an inactive post? Maybe he was promoted to an elite unit. He was obviously overqualified.

As is typical with so-called media in Pattaya there is NEVER any follow up.

Number one rule for all of these publications is only write stories that make the BIB look good and make sure to spell the name, position, rank, and what he had for lunch accurately. All of the so-called news organizations in Pattaya are a total disgrace.

One could ask the same question about a follow up on the accusations published by Pattaya Today about Neils Colov. Oh wait, Drew and Colov kissed and made up so any glimmer of any responsible journalism went out the window with the fear that they would both destroy each other.

Some one must be buying these publications, but I personally don't know of one person.

What ever happened to "Sifu"?

I've searched but can't seem to find the thread on here...has it been deleted?

Where is Notthenation when you need it?

OK, this got me thinking...why would Pattaya need this? We've established Pattaya can't protect PM nor visiting dignitaries from marauding red shirts. So what else is there?

Why do the instructors have to come from the US? Virtually all the conditions (buildings, traffic, roads, crimes, communications, aerial surveillance/support, etc) are totally different to those in the States.

According to another story in "related news" on the link he's now donating computers to the police instead of his expertise. I hope they work rather better.

The instructors need to have attended an academy for the initial techniques to be taught, and I don't refer to Sifu's backyard.

My understanding is that Pint of Guinness is in fact still a part of this unit but as an advisor only. Not in uniform.
