I have four of the previous version (1TB) and none have failed. Should be good value at that price.

The 1 TB model is only 2,790thb and that's what I paid for a seagate 500g without the box. i never knew that Acer made external HDs.....assumed all we could get here cheaply were Seagate and WD.

I think they are disposing of the USB 2.0 based stuff, prior to the USB 3.0 (double speed) entering the market... but it's indeed good value for money.

I just picked up the Carreffour promo booklet a few minutes ago for a flick through and saw this exact item for sale at 3290 Baht until 25 Sept. Normal pice is 3550 Baht.

Was at local Lotus today and found the 1.5tb for 3290 and bought one. Made in July so not that old. Same case/power supply as the previous 1tb model.
