Does anyone know what channels you get, and what are the subscription charges, if any, or is it like a ' Freeview ' box that you get in the UK

There is always a FTA option . Depending on disc size and kind of receiver you can get different satellites ( and channels offcourse) , just look on the internet . You also have subscriptions , pricing varies on what you want . I do not know the complete figure . I know that a lorge disc with a complete receiver gives me all the channels i want for free . Cheaper receivers cannot handle the signal ( i think it was Ku band ) , so less options available .
