Under-fed and under-paid Burmese Fisherman escapes from Thai Employer in Sattahip

SATTAHIP: -- A Burmese fisherman who escaped the clutches of his Thai employer was rescued from an Island off the coast of Sattahip by Rescue Workers on Tuesday. They received word of the Burmese man, Mr. Maa, who claimed he was 27 years old but is suspected of being much younger. He had apparently jumped off a fishing boat and was taken to the Island, located 8 nautical miles from where he was picked-up by a Royal Thai Navy patrol boat. Chief Petty Officer First Class Anusorn decided to take the man to the Island and offered him food and drink along with a clean set of clothing.

Of course, given that he is one of the lower ranking human beings, according to Thai heirarchy, there is no mention of the authorities seeking out his mistreater and meting out appropriate justice!
