Chicken Fried Steak at the Pun Pun.:D

I would love a good chicken fried steak. The absence is a real heart breaker for a good ole Texas boy. Closest I've found is Duke's Chicken fried chicken. SO - before I run over to Pun Pun, I thought they were a vegetarian place. Did your smiley face indicate a joke or do they have the real thang?

Pun Pun is NOT vegematic And the CFS is the real deal. They are a forum sponsor (upper left corner) and a five star member of the down home country boy southern style cooking.:D

hi rhubarb fans,

the Royal Project grows it in some locations , maybe you should check with the local Royal

Project store , i used to buy in the store of The royal Project ' Ottoko market ' in Bangkok

I'm sure they have a store in Chiang Mai somewhere

happy Rhubarb hunting

Ahhh... Bramley apples  .

Maybe if I prayed hard enough someone would drop a big bowl of stewed rhubarb in front of me

Well, I had a look at the forum sponsors and there are 12 (for Chiang Mai). None of them are Pun Pun. As for the "upper left corner" he forum sponsors are listed sequentially. Maybe you could provide a link. The Pun Pun restaurant I find on Google IS vegie only.

There are 2 Pun Pun restaurants; one is vegetarian and the other is not. They are BOTH excellent. The one you are looking for is here ----> http://www.thepunpun.com/index.shtml The owner and his family are extremely nice people.

The highly recommended and 'meaty' Pun Pun, even gives you 10% off if you identify yourself as a TV member smile.gif

Even if you don't want it - take it and add it to the staff tip......everyone benefits. wink.gif

Thank you very much. Will try soon. Your help is appreciated.

IMO nearly all the baked deserts (brownies, cookies, cakes, pies, etc) at Angels Secrets at the corner of Mun Mueang Soi 5 & Ratchadamnoen Soi 1 fit that description.

I tried Angel's Secrets, because it was lunchtime and not far away...

I tried the carrot cake today at Angel's Secrets . It is very nice - up there with the Duke's, the Upper Crust, Bake and Bite and Butter is Better - and would even be good back home.

Teppen in central in between svensens ice cream and black canyon coffee at kad suen kaew the beef steak set 109 baht with salad, garlic rice and soup if the two young guys do the cooking is the best for the money around town for the quality of the steak is good.

I know there are cheaper places to buy steak.

Just looked a TV & loved the irony of the adjacency of this thread and the one that marks the arrival of the McMuffin at McDonalds.bah.gif
