Medical Emergency Near Walking Street

Medical Incision splits open causing a Madical Emergency near Walking Street.

We joined Police and rescue units at a medical emergency which took place in the Marine Plaza area just behind Walking Street and in the front of the Omar Khayya`m Restaurant late on Sunday Night. The victim in this case is Miss Margaret aged 40 from England. A 20 cm long medical incision in her lower back had come apart after she had spent the night enjoying herself on Walking Street. She was taken to hospital where she explained that she had come to Thailand for cosmetic treatment which she underwent in Bangkok. Part of her treatment involved a procedure requiring this lower back incision. It appears that she ignored medical advice to refrain from excessive movement and the stitches holding the incision together came apart. The opening was stitched-up by medical staff who insisted she refrain from excessive movement for at least one week.
