Zyxel 1 Port Wifi - Port Forwarding

Featured Replies

Hi,

I spent a rather large amount of time last night trying to open ports through this router so I can connect to other players in FIFA 11 easier.

So I called True this evening to ask for some advice about it. The kind lady told me that because it is a 1 port router that I can not open any ports and that I would need to purchase another router.

I had presumed the "1 port" was referring to the amount of computers that can connect through the router and not the ports on my computer.

Anyone any advice on this, I have followed this video to a tee but still no luck

she probably had no clue what you were talking about... I suggest try again and speak to a man

failing that, open up your router home page. go to gaming and connections.

Set up a fixed IP for your PS3 (if it is a PS3 you are playing on)

then turn on DMZ and give it the ip address that you just assigned the PS3.

This works for me

Crazily enough it has just started working for me.

I used TCP optimizer which someone on an EA forum mentioned and restored to Windows default settings.

Rebooted and tried it and it worked, been trying it on and off for the past 8 months nice to finally get it working.

Active Firewall also needs to be turned OFF for anyone else trying this as well.

I am very very happy :)
