News_Editor Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 California Gov. Schwarzenegger hints on possible Hollywood return 2010-10-28 04:53:14 GMT+7 (ICT) LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on Wednesday hinted on a possible return to the big screen after recently meeting with the director of the "Terminator." Schwarzenegger, 63, will be leaving office next week as he is unable to seek re-election for a third term as governor. On Tuesday, Schwarzenegger wrote on Twitter that he recently met with award-winning movie director and writer James Cameron. Last week, Schwarzenegger was asked if he would return to the big screen after leaving office. "It depends," he said. "If someone comes with a great script, with a great idea. Will I still have the patience to sit on the set and do a movie for three months? I don't know," said Schwarzenegger, who has also expressed interest in writing a book. But he may have found that patience after meeting with Cameron, who wrote and directed 'The Terminator' and 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day'. But the two also worked together in the movie "True Lies." "Jim Cameron and I are going to announce our project this afternoon with a special screening," Schwarzenegger wrote on his Twitter account. "Stay tuned." Besides the popular "Terminator" movies, Cameron is also widely known for his work on "Avatar" and his most awarded film yet, "Titanic." After seven years as California Governor, Schwarzenegger is ending his term with a popularity rating of 22 percent, as the state has suffered with high unemployment rates and a large budget deficit. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2010-10-28
TAWP Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 He has a thankless job, trying to bring balance to a budget that has been continuously raped by career-politicians obsessed with being re-elected and offering election-bribes to mind-numbingly stupid voters. But that is just my opinion...
jazzbo Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Maybe all in post #2 is true but straight off the Libertarian Talking Points Memo -- The Governator made some pretty big claims going into office knowing most of that and saying with Arnold all that was going to change... A.S. being a 'naturalized' citizen as with Henry Kissinger cannot run for President although both would themselves say they are supremely qualified
Ulysses G. Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Most politicians have to BS to get into office and then hope that they get lucky. Obama is a prime example.
Goshawk Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Arnold Schwarzenegger on Wednesday hinted on a possible return to the big screen a reprise of his character 'Dutch' in a new Predator flik would be very cool. & if Stallone can come back with the goods at 60+, i'm sure that Arnie can too...
jazzbo Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 ... days until it may be possible to elect a US President who will not BS him/herself into office: http://daysuntil.com/Election-President-US/index.html
lomatopo Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 He had a cameo in the recent Stallone-helmed/starred actioner, "The Expendables". Based on those 2 minutes he is still a natural for the big screen so I have no doubt he'll be back. I also hope he helps his more Wife with all her public service activities; while they'll never match her parents I expect they'll try. California's slide started with Prop. 13 in 1978, 1% was just too low.
