November 21, 201015 yr It is difficult to discuss anything with a person who does not have a grasp of the topic. If common sense and folk wisdom were enough there would be no London School of Economics. But....as well as being a highly qualified economist, They (economist) like to presume they know all. They fail to grasp there are many intelligent people that dont accept their models at all. They like to pretend theirs is based in a mathematically proven model that has to be accepted as the truth. Yet the only thing they have proven is their utter failure since their inception. That someone they deem a non-economist<sic> does not want to discuss obvious stupidity does not imply the person does not see how stupid it is/was. This is not an easy pill for a person who spent their time or much of their life studying flawed logic & accepting it as religious fact. That they now hold a degree in the art of our demise & think they are qualified is the aberration. Yet the best some can now do is to claim as always....well there are others that are worse off so we are fine History. Without looking at history you can't understand the present. What caused the great depression. What caused America to come out of the great depression. I realize it is easier to stick your head in the sand and not take the time to understand what happened. If the US does not print money the Euro will go out of existence. If the US does not print money China will win. Maybe you want those things to happen I don't know. But before anything else you have to have a good understanding of the great depression.
November 21, 201015 yr You said, “Tell you what clean up you & yours mess first then talk about others .” I said, It is already clean. The others are all worse. Be sure & let all the taxpayers on the hook know will you Also with your line of thinking I guess Viktor Bout is clean too since there are many worse eh? Ireland's foreign debt is 1000% US foreign debt is 98% How much does it cost Ireland to borrow money? How much does it cost the US to borrow money? They both need to borrow money. In one case it is a plausible answer in the other case it is the impossible dream.
November 21, 201015 yr An amazing teacher can sit in the forest and talk all day to a tree. The tree still will not understand. After a while the teacher stops trying because he realizes trees don't learn and will never change their behavior. Any "teacher" that talks to trees, and furthermore takes a while to realise the futility of talking to trees, is not an amazing teacher, in my book,

Of course, you wouldn't want to compare US aplles with Australian apples, would you?

Of course, you wouldn't want to compare US aplles with Australian apples, would you? Just between you and me. I transferred all of my money out of the US and into an Australian bank 6 years ago when I liquidated my American assets (house, business Etc.) and moved to Thailand. Don't tell anyone.

Don't sell your trees short. They just might have learned a lot, they just aren't able to communicate.

Or is it like watching deaf people communicate in sign language but not have any idea what they are saying? Like, do you ever see their branches flaying around when there is no wind?
