Wireless Media Players In Practice.

Featured Replies

I have an Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 and a friend has just purchased the Western Digital's equivalent offering wireless support.

Has anyone has any success in transmitting and receiving a good signal - how many bars ?

And also under what circumstances - no rebar or lots of rebar, on different floors over what kind of distance ?

You may get 1 or 2 floors okay but not much more, there are network devices that transmit through the power cables that may work better.

I was talking to a friend here in Phuket about exactly the same device you have. Main computer on 2d floor, TV in living room below but not directly below, in another section of the house. He has similarly poor results on the connection and is now considering connecting via Ethernet cable. Nuisance but sure to work.
