Courage is fear holding on a minute longer. - George S. Patton

"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm."

--Winston Churchill

British orator, author and prime minister during World War II. 1874-1965

"And one should bear in mind that there is nothing more difficult to execute, nor more dubious of success, nor more dangerous to administer than to introduce a new order to things; for he who introduces it has all those who profit from the old order as his enemies; and he has only lukewarm allies in all those who might profit from the new. This lukewarmness partly stems from fear of their adversaries, who have the law on their side, and partly from the skepticism of men, who do not truly believe in new things unless they have personal experience in them." -- Niccolo Machiavelli

And if Pat Robertson wants to take out Hugo Chavez - wouldn't disturb me in the least... :o

--Ariel Sharon

Not sure why my citation was deleted. I understand it was from a very controversial "author", but this citation was very true, above all for today patriots. Maybe I should have put "unknown" as the author :o

I think it is because even the mention of that author's name brings out the very very worst in some people. I don't like the fact that any mention of that author will be deleted but I certainly and completely understand why the TV administration does this.

"The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death! What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating...

...and you finish off as an orgasm."

--George Carlin

American stand-up comedian, actor and author. b.1937

To learn which questions are unanswerable, and not to answer them; this skill is most needed in times of stress and darkness. - Ursula LeGuin, The Left Hand of Darkness

Your flag decal won't get you into heaven anymore,

Its already overcrowded from your dirty little war,

Jesus don't like killin' no matter what the reason for,

Your flag decal won't get you into heaven anymore.
