Standards Of Conduct

The tone of this forum has degenerated markedly in the past while. For some reason people cannot debate and discuss things intelligently without resorting to personal attacks, flames, and name calling. Outside the Box does not mean Outside the Rules. It is supposed to be a place to discuss ideas that are a bit abstract, not argue and ridicule each other over the latest hot button news story. There are many intelligent, articulate people posting here. Unfortunately they demean themselves by attacking others. It ruins the atmosphere of the forum, and if a reasonable standard of behaviour cannot be maintained then it`s useless to keep it open. For now topics who get out of control will be closed. Nobody is censoring anyone`s opinion, but we will deal with improper conduct. Flaming, baiting, etc, will attract posting bans just like the rest of the forum.

Topics should be unique, not just news items that are already running elsewhere. Post your ideas, not somebody else`s writing.
