Is this the final death knell of XP and time for the Luddites to upgrade?

I recently upgraded by hard drive on my 4 year old laptop to 250 gigs and enjoy all the advantages of doing such at little expense when one compares it to buying a new laptop and shifting to Windows 7. I expect to eventually move to Windows 7 in five years or so and that will be the time to upgrade my computer and get the free Windows 7 and the latest huge memory hard drive as well.

I don't see a problem with anyone doing likewise well into the foreseeable future as there will be many after market hard drives available to install for at least five years. Nervous, do it now.

I took a guy diving last year who was still running Windows 95. He said it did everything he needed out of an OS and saw no reason to change.

Windows 7 surely looks nicer with it's glitzy eyecandy, but in my own opinion, with a couple of PC's running both W7 and XP I still find W7 to bluescreen on me regularly while XP just seems to chug along.

Also, how is W7 making using the computer easier and quicker? I don't find it makes any difference. If anything it is slower now due to the extra time needed to find where stuff has been moved to.
