Help Have Internet Problems With Tot & Triple T On Koh Samui

Featured Replies

I have TOT at work & Triple T at home and I having similiar problems with both connections, I have done most of the usual checking

1. Telephone wires are good

2. Splitter works fine

3. Recheck the modem setting including:

username and password from ISP, both username and password were correct

internet status was working and connected

I checked SNR - Signal to Noise Ratio was above 24dB

I tried a speed test and I had a first, my upload speed was faster than my download speed

Please note I even tried downloading a small application with a download manager I did notice that the download was not streaming or downloading like normal basically the download was having a hick up I guess or like mili-second delays

I have gotten a nice round around with both companies the only thing I did hear though from triple t it seems in suratthani the internet cables got damaged from the flooding, which would might explain why my internet seems slow.

any ideas or suggestions I can try. also anyone else having similiar problems

ps I've basically had to wind up using my mobile internet connection which at the moment its more reliable that my triple t internet at home.

I am on Samui as well - using TOT at the moment.

TOT is fine as I write this. Speeds are as good as they ever are.

However, I did have some issues yesterday for a while and had to swap over to the CAT CDMA for a while
