Does anyone know of a good second hand off road bike shop in Chiang Mai??

I have only been here for a few weeks, but have been told some ridiculous prices for second hand off road bikes.

any ideas????

I don't know about bikes but cars are cheaper in Bangkok, may be worth searching for dealers there.

Are you looking for a road legal bike or off road only?

For a plated legal off road bike the prices can be high, making the KLX250 Kawaker is a good deal with it's parts availability and price - the only new Kawasaki priced less in Thailand than North America.

Unplated motocross bikes are available and reasonably priced in most cases. Check out the For shop locations check out the motorbike Directory Project here. A quick search of varied classified will yield several different choices too.

is o/o C.M.and is a very good sourse on m.c. in general

And yes used" plated" dirt bikes are dear for sure!.

A lot has to do with the stiff import duty of up to 100% of value!

Fortunately 250 cc are starting to be made here (Kaw) so better value is at hand

Although the best ones are so far still not made here.
